MIS
at the forefront of Economic, Social and Human Development
MIS is making
a huge contribution to the welfare of the society. More
than a mere Engineering service company generator, MIS
is a firm, solid and credible partner in the economic,
social and human development of the society. Even as
a private company, our mission and vision remains a
public service one. Conscious of our responsibilities,
we engage in stimulating the economic fabric of our
country notably, our recent action within the frame
work of the corporate partnership with the Ministry
of Agriculture and Rural Development for the Rumpi Area
Participatory Development Project through participating
in the construction of local (village) banks for the
rural masses at Ngobo Ku, Nyandong, Mbakwa and Ntale
all situated in the South west province of Cameroon
sponsored by the African Development Bank through SOWEDA(South
West Development Authority) is a testimony of this desire
to act
Extending
access to reliable money transaction for our royal masses
is an important prerequisite for economic development;
social security and enhancing the welfare of the people.
We carry out our operations without compromising the
capacity of our future generations to meet their own
specific needs. This act therefore translates to not
only supplying good quality and innovative engineering
services but also contributing to the well being of
communities around us by partaking in activities with
a significant impact on the quality of their lives.
This local banks will help them preserve their meeting
(njangi) donations, business money, offer them loans
for businesses and even receive money from their love
ones from far and near
More
so, MIS recently completed the renovation and rehabilitation
of the AES-SONEL(subsidiary of the worlds largest global
power company AES CORPORATION operating in 26countries
and 5 continents, with the production, distribution
and transportation of electrical energy all over the
national territory of Cameroon as its main function)
medical center at Koumassi into a modern and outstanding
building to ensure AES-SONEL personnel’s have
a readily available health framework for their constant
health monitoring as concerns occupational hazards in
their vicinity as well as other work related illnesses.
Through this project, MIS as reaffirmed its status as
a role model of social responsibility and human development
by placing not only the well being of SONEL workers
but also that of the nation as a whole at the center
of their concern, sparing no effort to ensure their
safety hence their health. With good health, efficiency
and excellence is guaranteed
From
our achievements such as the building of local money
transaction units (local banks) in Ngobo Ku, Nyandong,
Mnakwa and Ntale, to the building of the AES-SONEL (Energy
Supplier) medical center, to the construction of modern
wooden tables for AES-SONEL Nursery school in Bassa,
or the construction of guard house seperating AES-SONEL
and Guiness Cameroon (Brewery Company) in Bassa,Douala-Cameroon
to our plumbering, instrumentation, information technology
and electrical works, MIS is placing positive footprints
towards the development of our beloved nation.
MIS
a stairway to good governance
MIS
is a company with talented, experienced, educated and
valuable people. What defines our status as an Engineering
service company of choice highly distinct from others
is our young, dynamic and innovative nature, our knowledge
of the Engineering service industry, our devotion in
what we do, the disciplined nature of our people in
respect of rules, specifications and standards and the
strategies we use in mobilizing our personnel’s
and resources to develop a breeding ground for good
governance there by paving our way to the world class
levels
We make safety our number one priority. Our health safety
and environmental polices are our major propelling forces.
The company is doing its best efforts to provide its
employees with personal and collective protective equipments
to ensure work safety. The major phase of our development
and safety programme is the priority safety programme
were in our people are given the opportunity to undergo
frequent safety trainings for job security. A glaring
example is Mr. Fokou the works Forman of MIS who was
sent to AES-SONEL (Main supplier of electrical energy
in Cameroon) safety school in Ombe for further training
on job safety procedures on issues like fall protections,
working on heights, the advantages of wearing safety
equipments etc. We have however this year recorded only
two accidents on our job sights. We have opted for zero
fatalities in our NETWORKS and working towards having
a completely glowing balance sheet in the years to come
MIS has also engaged
in a 5year investment programme through the companies
business plan with huge packages to help increase the
engineering rate of our country, reinforce safety, health
and environmental norms, reduce commercial and technical
losses, improve service qualities, carry out various
industrial and civil operations and maintenance activities
and increase network reliability. This goes a long way
to prove that MIS is a stairway to good governance
Aware
of its status of being a stairway of good governance
in the Engineering sector MIS has also put in place
a set of tools prescribing methods that could be used
in addressing rising company issues such as its code
of conduct and MIS shared values to govern its stake
holders in a fair manner. MIS however is a company of
integrity to reckon with due to the positive image it
has so far created in the minds of its customer’s
reason why we are short listed suppliers with Cameroon’s
well renounced companies like SONARA (National Refinery
Company), AES-SONEL (Electrical Energy Supplier), SOWEDA
(South West Development Authority) CDC (Cameroon Development
Corporation) etc.
